Young Researchers Jobs Available

PDC is currently working with the University of Lancaster to set up a participatory research project into Young men and Pornography”. As part of this we are looking for young men aged 18-22 to join a small research team based at Lancaster University Faculty of Public Health, Lancaster. Members of the research team will jointly design and conduct a 6 month piece of social research working alongside the academic and youth work members of the research team.
No formal research training is required and we are looking primarily to recruit candidates who have a strong understanding and ability to empathise with the experiences of boys and young men growing up in an internet age. In addition to this , any experiences of facilitating, leading or participating in projects designed to enable young people to express their opinions, such as focus groups, youth forums, questionnaires for young people, or creative media projects is an advantage. This experience could be as a participant or volunteer - so it makes an ideal transition role for someone who has been involved in participation work before as a young leader.
